This European–Asian fusion dish is one of those meals that instantly warms you up and comes with loads of flavour.
Ingrediends
- Black rice (contains gluten — I always buy mine at an Asian grocery store; keeping the husk makes it so much more flavourful than white rice)
- Red bell pepper (cut into strips)
- Soy strips (chicken-style)
- Onions (sliced lengthwise)
- Light soy sauce (lower in salt)
- Flour or cornstarch (to thicken the sauce)
- Gochujang paste
- A little syrup or honey
- Fried egg (crispy around the edges)
- Salt and pepper
- Thyme (fresh or dried)
Options
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Lemon juice / lemon zest
- Ginger
- Crispy chilli oil
- Fresh herbs (cilantro, chives)
